Sharon Jaffess (drums, vocals, guitar) First appearing with the southern New Jersey punk-country band Kise, Sharon became a regular on the NYC club circuit with punk and grunge bands, including: The Bathroom Guys and Virgin Naugahyde. In 1996, the women of Kise reunited and formed the power pop trio, Sinde Kise. After a successful run and the other Kise women’s need to produce offspring, Sharon joined up with NYC punk rocker, Black Flamingo, who already had offspring in school. Love, like a magnet, pulled Sharon across Route 80 to Chicago in 2004. In addition to Sinde Kise and Black Flamingo, Sharon has played with The Catholic Girls, Australian rocker Martine Locke, and Ireland’s celtic/jazz/pop award-winners, Zrazy. Sharon also lends her sticks to Chicagoland’s newest moms that rock, Playdate. Sharon’s work can be found on compilations including: “Hoboken: Stop and Smell the Locals,” “Fake Chapter Eleven Presents,” and KCRH’s “Girl Power Flower Hour.” |
